I. Working Principle:

The core technology of nitrogen generators is pressure swing adsorption (PSA), which is a technique that uses air as raw material and, under pressure, preferentially adsorbs oxygen through specific adsorbents (such as carbon molecular sieves), thereby enriching nitrogen.

Under high pressure, oxygen in the air is rapidly adsorbed by carbon molecular sieves, while nitrogen, due to its relatively low diffusion rate, fails to be adsorbed in time and is separated out, forming finished nitrogen. Subsequently, the pressure is reduced to regenerate the adsorbent, enabling its recycling.

Ii. Specifications and Technical Parameters

The specification parameters of nitrogen generators vary depending on the manufacturer and product model, but they generally include the following aspects:

  1. Processing capacity: It refers to the amount of air that a nitrogen generator can process or produce per hour. The processing capacity is usually between 5m³/h and 3000m³/h, with the specific value depending on the equipment model and user requirements.
  2. Nitrogen purity: Usually expressed as the volume percentage of nitrogen in a mixed gas. The common purities are 95%, 99%, 99.9%, 99.99% or even higher.
  3. Pressure: The general working pressure is adjustable between 0.5 and 1.0Mpa, depending on the equipment design and user requirements.
  4. Dew point: It refers to the moisture content in nitrogen, usually expressed as the dew point temperature. The lower the dew point temperature, the less moisture content there is in the nitrogen gas, usually ranging from -40℃ to -60℃.
  5. Nitrogen flow rate: It is usually expressed in standard volume units (such as Nm³/h). The volume of standard gas is the volume of gas under specific conditions (typically at 0°C and 1 atmosphere). Common specifications range from a few cubic meters per hour to several thousand cubic meters.

The appearance dimensions and weight of the nitrogen generator also need to be determined according to actual requirements. For instance, the dimensions of a medium-sized PSA nitrogen generator are typically 1.5 meters in length, width and height, and its weight is approximately 700 kilograms. In addition, the use of nitrogen generators
