Banyan CCP4 CCGT Project

Jurong Engineering Limited (JEL)together with Mitsubishi Power AsiaPacific Pte. Ltd. (MPW-AP) have beenawarded an EPC contract on 18 May2023 by Sembcorp Cogeneration Pte.td. to build a new cogeneration plantthat shall be integrated with the existingplant in Jurong Island (see Figure 1).

Currently, Sembcorp is operating acogeneration combined cycle plantCCP3) that has been operationalsince 2014. Under Phase 1, the single-shaft gas fired cogeneration CCGTcogeneration block (CCP3) with Alstom'sGT26 gas turbine has a power output of393 MW and HP steam generation of 200tph.

With Phase 2, the new cogenerationcombined cycle power plant (CCP4)will host an advanced Mitsubishi PowerM701JAC J-class Gas Turbine capableof generating 600 MW and 200 tph ofeither HP or LP steam. The CCP4 willalso be designed for 30% hydrogen co-firing with the possibility of 50% hydrogenco-firing in the future.

With the Temporary Occupation Licenseissued in June 2023, site clearance andpreparation for subsequent constructionhave commenced.
